Fed up with home recordings, we recorded two songs at Mike Mason’s studio, where he also contributed with some keyboards. It was the first time we worked together since our Swallow days. He mixed and mastered Achilles and another track Ghost which we released as a two track EP in 2021.

‘Achilles’ is a song based around that signature gaze bass sound we all know and love. Louise sings of times ancient and forgotten. Hearing that voice again. Hearing that voice in this song. This was released as a cassette in a limited edition box art I made via Bandcamp.

I love making stuff from discarded objects and have used things in our videos-which are all home made. However, it does take quite a lot of time and even longer to create stop motion animation with them.
